PLTW Cybersecurity

PLTW Cybersecurity teaches professionals to spot vulnerabilities, fend off attacks, and immediately respond to emergencies.


This course introduces students to cryptography, security management, networking, organizational policy, and career opportunities in the field.  Students will explore why cybersecurity is relevant to them, and assess how it might be applied to their future study and work plans.  


Throughout the year, students will engage in lessons and activities to:

  1. Grasp online safety principles and practices.
  2. Identifying and developing individual aptitudes for cybersecurity. 
  3. Understanding the range of skills, interests, and backgrounds that can lead to success in the field.

Whether seeking a career in the growing field of cybersecurity or learning to defend their data or a company’s data, students in Cybersecurity establish an ethical code of conduct while learning to defend data in today’s complex cyber world.
