Dear RHS students and families,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to another school year at Radford High School! I hope that the first two weeks have gone smoothly as we adjust to our new block schedule and as students get acclimated to their teachers and fall semester courses.
Each new school year brings opportunities to grow as learners and individuals. One way to do this is to get connected with the RHS community beyond the classroom. With a wide variety of extracurricular activities, student-led clubs, career and technical student organizations, music and fine arts programs, and athletic teams, there are many opportunities for students to get plugged in. Research shows that students who are well connected to school have better attendance and overall academic success!
At RHS we believe that all students can learn in order to pursue their dreams. Our amazing team of teachers and staff are committed to helping each student accomplish these goals and reach their full potential. I look forward to seeing everyone at our community tailgate event on Friday, August 29th from 4:00-6:00 pm on the practice field followed by our first home football game kicking off at 7:00 pm vs. George Wythe!
