Dear RHS students and families,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to another school year at Radford High School! I hope that everyone has enjoyed a wonderful summer break so far. I encourage you to use the final few weeks to rest, spend time with those you love, and do the things that bring you joy.
Each new school year brings opportunities to grow as learners and individuals. One way to do this is to get connected with the RHS community beyond the classroom. With a wide variety of extracurricular activities, student-led clubs, career and technical student organizations, music and fine arts programs, and athletic teams, there are many opportunities for students to get plugged in. Research shows that students who are well connected to school have better attendance and overall academic success!
At RHS we believe that all students can learn in order to pursue their dreams. Our amazing team of teachers and staff are committed to helping each student accomplish these goals and reach their full potential. I look forward to seeing everyone at Open House on Monday, August 12th. This event will be from 4:00-7:00 with freshman orientation beginning at 6pm in the auditorium. Families will be able to complete registration paperwork at this event and students will receive their class schedules.
There will also be an opportunity for anyone who is interested to meet the new admin team on Friday, August 16th at 5:30 pm before the first home football scrimmage. Go Bobcats!
